Project Summary
DOVATO is a once-daily, two-drug tablet that serves as a complete HIV-1 treatment regimen.
This project redesigns DOVATO's HCP (healthcare professional) website after a team UX audit revealed multiple issues. The team proposed several areas to address, here are a few:
- Restructuring the website organization & structure
- Helping users find the content they want through navigation or other elements
- Reducing long page lengths, which made it difficult for users to find relevant information quickly
- Representing dense information in a more digestible format instead of overwhelming the user
The design system was revised to help visitors find key content faster and improve access to the most frequently visited areas. On “Efficacy & Resistance,” we added a landing page and a mega navigation menu to help users find the Trial Study they were interested in. Another issue was the length of the Trial Study pages themselves. These pages were extremely long and dense with information, so users rarely reached the bottom. To reduce information fatigue on the long, dense Trial Study pages, I placed each section in accordions, with only the relevant accordions open on initial load. I also added a floating sub-navigation and a “back-to-top” button so users could jump to relevant sections and quickly return to the top.
Every piece of functionality and content was reviewed and approved by the client’s Medical and Legal boards, clearing the way for FDA submission. I also pushed for smaller touches, like callouts after complex data visualizations, so HCPs leave with a better understanding. Working with the Art team, ADA compliance was a first-class requirement throughout, and close collaboration with the client kept the work aligned with their needs and the overall value clear for HCPs.
